When textile is social: Schmid supports Carmina Campus

A Fabric can change becoming something else. So as people. That’s why Schmid supports Carmina Campus,contributing to the Made in Prison project.

Nylon is the name of the bag collection created in some Italian prisons thanks to the collaboration between  Sociallymadeinitaly and Schmid who donated part of the fabrics , giving to the Made in Prison project a further opportunity.

Big and small backpacks, shopping totes with side adjustable strings, shoulder bags, haversacks with pockets and cargo work bags or computer bags: these are the pieces of this “light” collection, made in the Opera and Milan prisons, with micro patterns and solid color velvets fabrics.
All in hues of orange, green, brown, light blue and black.

Schmid has always been socially active, supporting projects that help people who needs more. Made in Prison is one of those: active in 11 italian prisons with rieducational aims, ithas a positive effect both for the single convict and the whole society.In fact it’s statistically proved the deep reduction of repeated offenses among people who had the chance to spend their prisoning period as a professional and personal rebirthing opportunity. Schmid and SociallymadeinItaly work together to achive this result.

The project is under the supervisionand it is certified by Italian Justice Department.
