Trendy fabrics: Schmid bolsters its range of velvets

One of the leading fabric for next autumn season, Schmid increases the colour range of its velvet collection.

Plain or enhanced. Stylish or casual. Velvet is a fabric with a long tradition, created as far back as the 14th century, it is strongly identified with autumn. As a matter of fact velvet will be one of the main features of autumn/winter 2016-17 also in Schmid’s proposals, which has increased its offer and widened its colour range.

From leather goods to footwear, including apparel: not only shoes and bags but also many ready to wear items use velvet. A great opportunity that Schmid pre-empted by proposing exclusive fabrics with embossing, prints, quilted finishings but above all a renewed and larger range of colours.

Grazia

There are six new colours that bolster the colour range of Grazia velvet: neutral, mustard, ice, salmon pink, bottle green and fuchsia, complement the exisiting classical colour range, for a total of fifteen options.

Grazia is a 100% polyester velvet, compact and soft to the touch. It is ideal for processing thanks to the resilience of its synthetic fibre. Characterized by a dense and soft pile, it has an opaque aspect and is particularly adapted to men’s tastes and for sporty clothes.

Letizia

Black, anthracite or brown, but also red. The Letizia velvet has a classic colour chart, with elegant tones. Entirely made of viscose, the fabric has a soft pile with a silk feel. Its fibre makes it resistent and gives it a natural sheen. It is much appreciated for being wrinkle free.

Gioia

Made of elastan and polyester, it is a new stretch velvet offered in a range of seven colours. Characterised by a shiny and soft pile, the visual impact is slightly iridescent. With a smooth and embracing touch, Gioia is compact thanks to its polyester fibre. Sporty and casual, for Schmid it is a versatile fabric perfect for all its clients’ collections.
