Transizione: Schmid’s fabrics featured at Fashion Graduate Italia 2019 thanks to the project of one Brera Academy student
Making the most of the quality of Schmid’s fabrics, Alessandra passed the selection for the annual fashion show dedicated to the most interesting ideas presented by the national academic world.
Schmid and Brera Academy: the history of a collaboration that now becomes even more special. Indeed, Schmid’s mission to support young designers, focusing on their creations, continues with Alessandra Morinelli, one of the former students of the Textile Culture Course of Professor Livia Crispolti.
Making the most of the quality of Schmid’s fabrics – microfibres, iridescent satins and flocked jacquard – Alessandra first completed her graduation project and then passed the selection for Fashion Graduate Italia 2019, the annual fashion show dedicated to the most interesting ideas presented by the national academic world.
And it was precisely during this show that Transizione was officially presented for the first time to an attentive audience of insiders. Alessandra’s project is intended to decompose and analyse a classic of the Japanese tradition: the kimono. This element is deconstructed and given a new twist by a harmony of eastern and western ingredients.
Turning to future projects, this young fashion designer has many expectations: «Milan is a stimulating city, it has given me the opportunity to be constantly in touch with art and fashion. In the future I would like to teach younger students to give shape to their projects», said Alessandra.
