The 2017 summer trends, according to Schmid

After recent presentations at the main sector trade shows, Schmid is ready to unveil the trends for the season spring/summer 2017.
Modular Crossing, Shiner, Natural Rituals and Bloom: are the areas that embrace the main inspirations for the next summer season. Here are the details.

Modular Crossing

Lo stile metropolitano della nuova collezione S/S 2017 di Schmid
A style characterised by contaminations from the worlds of high tech and pop and dedicated to youth that crave a natty, but yet sporty, style. Geometric shapes and graphics are repeated continuously. Plastic materials such as polyurethane (PU) and PVC combine with flock and embroderies on technical meshes and 3D prints.

Shiner

Shiner, il tema della collezione S/S 2017 di Schmid
Light and transparency are enhanced on smooth and shiny surfaces and give life to accessories for every occassion. The end result is bright and unique materials such as prints on glitter, holographic effects on PVC, the re-interpretation of classical patterns such as a laminated moire’ on an Ottoman fabric.

Natural Rituals

A true return to origins. Today casual luxury is increasingly symbolised by the world of African tribal atmospheres. Natural fibres are enriched with small points of light: printed cork, weaved rafia and jute, refined coton and linen drill as well as customised linen with hints of lamé.
Denim is also re-interpretated with a 3D blob transparent lamina.

Bloom

Elementi naturali, la tendenza della collezione S/S 2017 di Schmid
A theme strongly inspired by the female spirit, in which a lush nature is the indisputable protagonist. Priority is given to sophisticated materials such as refined prints on satin, lace re-interpretated with a casual touch and coupled with stonewash denim and PVC finishings such as hand-drawn images and embedded fabrics.
