The trends identified by Schmid are turned into a collection

Futuristic and Naturalia are two trends of the spring/summer 2018 season identified by Schmid and disclosed in the Trend Book that the company presented to its main clients over the past weeks.

The Futuristic trend is innovative, modern and visionary. Thoroughly minimalism with an athletic and high-tech touch, it is characterized by iridescent colours with glassy and rubbery materials.

The Naturalia trend instead evokes the Earth. It is characterized by surfaces and textures that explicitly recall natural shapes and structures. Subdued and earthy colours prevail, while cotton plays a central part among materials.

The trends of the Trend Book become a collection

These style trends, unveiled in the Trend book, have been included in Schmid’s S/S 2018 collection. But, the proposals of the Trend Book have been complemented with a series of products purposely developed to meet the needs of our clients.

Among the new items that expand and complete the spring/summer 2018 collection are Pizzo du Barry (a rich rebrode lace); Candy (a refined dotted embroidery on a mosquito net base); Pouf (an embossed print with a fish scale design on a cotton base): Stripe Ottoman (a canneté with a stripe design), Lino Melange (a rough braided linen and cotton fabric) and the new Stardust (a subtle glitter set in a layer of PVC).

Clients have suggested us materials during the presentation of the Trend Book.
