Schmid looks back at the distance covered in 2015
The year end is an opportunity to review what has been achieved in the past twelve months and see how far we have come
2015 was an intense year for Schmid, and full of satisfaction. We have gone a long way, in terms of new clients (nearly 150!), and with whom we have an established relationship. Unravelling thousands of metres of high-quality fabric, often innovative and always capable of satisfying their requirements.
The end of the year is the right moment to look back at the achievements of the past 12 months. The moment to draw conclusions looking at the results and see in what direction we are going. In a year, we manufactured and delivered over 125 kilometres of satin, 74 kilometres of tulle fabric and meshes, 45 kilometres of glitter, 38 of lurex, over 18 kilometres of vinyls and 14 of natural fibres. One has to add a further 15 kilometres of other products (stretch fabrics and microfibers, velvet, lace and sequin).
A grand total of about 330 kilometres of fabrics produced and delivered worldwide; 330 kilometres travelled together with our clients.
But these achievements are not just Schmid’s. They are above all the success of our clients, the ability of our craftsmen, of all the company staff, of all the suppliers, to the smallest transport company working for us and who enabled us to deliver a quantity of fabric, which measured in kilometres, covers the distance from Milan’s cathedral to Florence’s baptistery.
Now we are waiting for 2016, and we have great expectations. We believe that these results are an extraordinary starting point for another long trip along the roads of our country and the globe. A journey to accomplish with our travel companions. To all of them, and to the new ones that we will meet along the road, best season’s greetings and see you in 2016!
