The company specialized in offers of high quality fabrics will be present in September at both Lineapelle and Cuir à Paris

Schmid SpA one of the most important italian “converters”, with a tradition of collaborating with major fashion houses dating back to 1942, continues its business of supplying customers not only with its own products (classics, collection and special articles) but also service in making unique creations from quality materials, developed by its in-house research/development department and service singular in the sector.
In this context the firm’s participation at the two leading autumn fairs (Lineapelle from 10 to 12 September in Milan and Cuir à Paris from 16 to 18 September in the French capital).
The company team, under the guidance of president Paolo Ciccarelli and general manager Vittorio Onetti, has decided to make this important organizational effort, in order to present already from the month of September the new options for Autumn/Winter 2015-2016 to all its Italian and International clients.
The trough line of the new collection is fabric, which is presented in both its “natural” state and enhanced by artisanal treatments, typical of Made in Italy, able to exalt the value. This line develops into four key themes that in part can be considered a natural continuation of those defined for summer 2015.

  • Metropolitan/sport: fabrics dedicated to sports and leisure are enhanced by an urban look.
  • Cultures mix: more suited to a young world, a blend of western and oriental cultures.
  • Great beauty: the lovely and classical never out of fashion but enriched by a touch of originality.
  • Hipster: a new and less formal style but still attentive to detail and elegance.

Here, certain to be of great interest are the new versions of products such as Lycra, nylon, stretch fabrics destined for an increasingly technical and high performance type of sports footwear.
There will also be shown, on a stand specially renovated for the new Milanese location, also the firm’s other leading products like satin, glitter, velvet, plastics and mesh which by now form an indispensable source for all major producers.
All this at a time when the market sees leading manufacturers of footwear and leather goods “Made in Italy” well positioned, while the sector in general is still feeling the sharp and enduring drop in consumption as well as competition from Asian producers that especially in the textile industry, although unable to offer the same standard of quality and service ensured by leading italian firms, can still respond, at competitive prices, to the demands of big international manufacturers, often American, that have based a large part of their production in the Far East.
