Preview of the fall/winter 2017-2018 Trend Book
With clockwork precision, here comes the appointment with Schmid’s Trend Book: on the 20th of June the roadshow kicks off during which we will present the four new trends of the season to our main clients. Here are the details.
Pencil in the date: on the 20th of June starts the roadshow during which Schmid will exclusively preview with its clients the Trend Book F/W 2017-2018. For a while now, our company has been identifying for each season the main fashion trends that will be seen first on the catwalks and then in the shops. This way, we do not limit ourselves to addressing our clients’ requests but we proactively collaborate to create their collections.
Not only trends
But Schmid’s Trend Book – which is published twice a year in line with the fashion seasons – is not only about trends. The four trends identified for each season are transposed into “real” materials. Thus, clients can concretely examine their impact in terms of style and structure. A concrete contribution made by Schmid to assist the style departments.
Trend Book F/W 2017-2018
Schmid’s Trend Book F/W 2017-2018 is ready to be unveiled to clients. But what does it contain? Here is a quick preview but without spoiling the surprise.
The first trend is called Adorned: it is rich, decorative and unites to the fabrics the adornments and the luminious effect of jewellery. The second is Super Imposed: it is based on stratified images, and overprints resulting in a vaguely futuristic hybridisation. Stoned recalls stone, marble, the mineral world. It is cold, monochromatic and bare. Virtually on the other side of the spectrum lies Pastiche, that is warm, colourful and ironical. The patterns and colours are laid out with a provocative, nearly paradoxical, purpose.
The roadshow
So the appointment with Schmid’s trends is from the 20th of June. From that day until the end of July we will be meeting our main Italian and international clients to discover beforehand the themes that we will present (with the full collection) during the main trade shows in September, especially in Paris (Première Vision, 13th-15th of September) and Milan (Lineapelle, 20th-22nd of September), where we will be playing on our home turf.
If you have not yet been contacted and want to set an appointment for a preview of the Trend Book, write to your usual commercial contact, or, if in doubt, to Silvio La Cava (slacava@schmid.it) for Italy and Melissa D’Innella (m.dinnella@schmid.it) for international clients. See you soon!
