Our prices decline, but not our quality
From 1st March, the prices of Schmid’s products have been cut by about 10 per cent, to help our clients be more competitive. But, Schmid’s high quality standards and reliability remain unaffected. There are also additional rebates according to volumes ordered
«There’s a lot of talk about client service and boosting consumption. What better example of concrete support to one’s clients is there than lowering prices while keeping quality high?». Paolo Ciccarelli, Schmid’s chairman and CEO, goes straight to the point: «Our sector is going through a delicate phase. Demand has been flat for a while and the business environment is more and more competitive. For these reasons we have decided to shoulder our clients and reduce our prices by about 10 per cent from 1st March».
Obviously, cutting prices is not an easy task and requires efficiency and market knowledge. In Schmid’s case, efficiency stems from a thorough selection of suppliers, “just in time” production management, reducing unnecessary expenses and lowering financial costs. The benefits of these measures are then shared with clients.
Schmid’s new price policy does not end here. The company also guarantees to foot any price increases generated by the weakness of the euro against other currencies. A decreasing pricing system based on volumes purchased will also be introduced soon.
«It isn’t a stop-gap solution but a dyed-in-the-wool system to share with our clients the improvements in efficiency and profitability that we are obtaining and offer them genuine value for money», summarises Ciccarelli.
