Lineapelle: a positive outcome for Schmid
Many foreign visitors and a large number of samples. The three specials in macramé obtained a great success. The Milan trade show held in February was an excellent test for Schmid’s new corporate strategy
More than 2,500 samples and over 300 visitors, many of whom were foreigners coming mainly from France, the UK, Spain and the US. This is the outcome of Schmid’s three days at Lineapelle, and shows that the market welcomed the changes stemming from the new corporate strategy. As Paolo Ciccarelli, the company’s chairman and CEO, points out with satisfaction: “We responded with a very innovative and appreciated collection to the requests of our clients and public, that is always younger and more international”. Indeed, among the positive aspects of the trade show, was the presence of many young stylists and designers, with whom Schmid is creating a closer dialogue, also thanks to the use of digital media”.
The specials of the spring/summer collection
The focus was above all on the: the public appreciated the new trends presented by Schmid. On top of the ordinary collection, there was great interest for three specials made of on mesh and satin.
While we wait for the next Trend Book, that will be released in June, this is a sign that the research and study of new trends and products carried out by Schmid is increasingly appreciated. Without forgetting that Lineapelle “was also the opportunity to meet and know new clients and future partners, to whom we want to rapidly show our skills and our reliability”, added Paolo Ciccarelli.
The Schmid contest, destined for students of prestigious international fashion schools, was also presented during Lineapelle. The London College of Fashion has already agreed to participate.
