Schmid’s vintage fabrics are on the block
On the 27th of November the auction house Il Ponte Casa d’aste will put up for sale Schmid’s fabrics. The limelight will be on premium items of past spring/summer collections, including satin, canvas and coloured PVC.
The second auction of Schmid’s fabrics is close. After the success of the last year’s auction, when most of the items were sold, this year the focus will be on the fabrics of past spring/summer collections. They comprise premium materials enhanced with finishes and embroideries. In some cases they are unique items comprising coloured PVC, flower-shaped sequins, canvasses with glitter prints or with a marbling effect, as well as alcantara fabrics, satin, denim and embroidered fabrics.
The auction is scheduled Friday the 27th of November, with two sessions at 10.00 am and 2.30 pm, at the headquarters of the the auctioneer Il Ponte Casa d’aste in via Pitteri, Milan. Prior to the auction, the items can be viewed on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of November at the same address.
“Thanks to this auction we can show to the general public our creativity and craftmanship,” said Paolo Ciccarelli, CEO of Schmid. “Participants will see exposed a large variety of fabrics for furnishing, apparel, outdoors, settings and packaging.”
An opportunity that cannot be missed for enthusiasts, collectors and designers seeking inspiration from the past. The items will be sold without a reserve price, enabling participants to buy high quality products at exceptional prices.
