Here comes Volley, the new lining for bags

A new item is available for leathergoods. It is called Volley and is a drill fabric entirely made of cotton. A fabric combining resilience, lightness and ductility, and that is adaptable to all types of linings for bags thanks to an anti-unthreading finish.

«It’s a very interesting product,” explains Elena Marradi, head of research and style at Schmid.  “It’s available in 16 different colours obtained with reactive dyes that guarantee a lasting hue and a particular sheen. This type of treatment guarantees the maintenance of the colour in case of rubbing, an essential feature, especially for lined products».

Volley is a product stemming from Schmid’s capacity to innovate, stresses Paolo Ciccarelli, CEO of the company. «The market is attentive to our most recent and innovative products. Just bear in mind the recognition received at Mipel for the bags made with our fabrics. With this new item we want to further increase our offer for leathergoods manufacturers, especially for those focusing on natural fabrics».
